It is highly associated with the Heart Chakra, and opens the space for gratitude and unconditional love. It promotes peace and tranquility in the heart. It is a great stone to use to promote love in a relationship or with the self.

Geologically, it's color is due to trace amounts of iron, titanium, or manganese. Varying amounts of these minerals can cause varying shades and hues of pink, ranging from light pale to almost a deep lavender shade. Rose quartz typically forms within igneous rock formations.
